Universal Pictures has just unveiled a magical new teaser for “Wicked: For Good,” the highly anticipated sequel to 2024’s box office hit Wicked. The teaser, released today, offers fans a brief but enchanting glimpse at returning stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda, hinting at what’s to come in the full trailer debuting June 4, 2025.
The original Wicked film, which grossed over $729 million worldwide, was shot back-to-back with its sequel. Rather than simply calling it Wicked: Part Two, director Jon M. Chu revealed the official title Wicked: For Good, signaling a more distinct identity while still continuing the beloved storyline.
The sequel promises to delve deeper into the friendship and fallout between Elphaba and Glinda, exploring their choices, destinies, and the consequences that solidify their legendary roles in the land of Oz. Featuring new music by returning composer Stephen Schwartz, the story is expected to closely follow Act II of the Broadway musical, offering an emotional and dramatic continuation.
Wicked: For Good will hit theaters on November 21, 2025.
